THE ASSOCIATION

 

A.S.S.C was founded at the initiative of a group of energetic volunteers who live on, work and explore the Calvana territory and who, recognizing its very special nature, have decided to help solve the problems arising there, to make the area better known and to promote its development under various aspects.
Our group includes veterinaries, photographers, nature guides and journalists, all lovers of this territory, who have drawn up a full, well-coordinated plan of work and who, through contacts with other associations, aim to bring still more professional competences to the service of this land!

In this context, many other associations, whose aims are consonant with our mission of developing and safeguarding the Calvana territory, will participate. We believe in synergy and in the ability to join forces when we are all looking in the same direction.

Safeguarding and protecting

​

Monitoring emergencies and implementing activity aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the area, starting by restoring the habitat and the mountain pastures (the SIC’s most urgent objective).. 

 

Development

Our long-term goal, during and after having solved the most important problems, is to ensure good visibility and promotion of the territory, encouraging tourism of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
